Author: Rich Simpson
I'm 41, a dad of two and have been a primary teacher for nearly 20yrs after completing a BEd at Westminster College, Oxford in 2001. I started my teaching career in a middle school, but now teach in a small one-form entry primary on the Isle of Wight. Currently teaching Yr6, on SLT and English lead, I have worked in a range of SLT roles in the last ten years, from Lower School Leader to Acting Deputy Head. I am a KS2 writing moderator for the Local Authority and am currently studying for my NPQH.
Apart from teaching, my other passions in life are books (blogging and reviews at www.whatiread.co.uk
), writing for a selection of education websites, red wine and the sea! Also keen on spreading kindness, which I try to do each by starting a #kindnessripple that is spread from my account @richreadalot every Thursday.
